There's something quite hilarious about first graders, their big plans to catch a leprechaun, and what they'll do with him once he's caught!
This writing activity is a good way to capture their imaginations while meeting the core standards of writing in first grade.
Plus, it's always a good laugh to read through their stories!

I am a first year kindergarten teacher after five years in fourth grade, and am loving the chance to be so fun and creative! We have been talking about building leprechauns to catch a sneaky leprechaun, and I LOVE this form to design our traps!! My school has the site blocked though, is there any way you could email it to me? ecmurphy@ccps.org if you can, thanks so VERY MUCH!! :-)
