[Model Drawing Monday] FREE download!

Common Core 1.NBT.4: Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number. . .understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.

This model drawing set is what I'm going to use to introduce this concept to my little firsties this week.  I think that using model drawing will help them SEE the need/ability to take the ones into a group of ten and then add that way.  At least that's the plan!  :)
